Steps 1 & 2

1 · Load bead photo

New board

Load a bead photo to begin, or load a previously saved board from the top-right menu.

5 · Review & edit board

Use Pen, Eraser, and Undo above the board. Compare the perimeter carefully before building your outline.

4 · Click perimeter beads

Use the photo uploaded in step 1. Click every outer bead once, in order, to rebuild the artwork on an exact virtual grid.

1 · Mark the perimeter

For the pen: click the centers of two neighboring beads first. No coin is required.

2 · Correct bead markers

Each numbered arrow becomes one exact grid step. Drag a click until its arrow points the correct direction; click a missing bead to insert it. Distance between clicks never changes the final bead spacing.

Navigation: zoom with the mouse wheel. When the photo is zoomed, click the photo and use WASD to pan it. You can also hold Shift while scrolling, use a horizontal trackpad gesture, or press and drag the middle mouse wheel.

3 · Review in Board Editor

Load a photo and enter Step 3 measurements, then click the perimeter beads. Coin calibration is not required.

Clicking tips

Click every perimeter bead exactly once in order. Selecting bead 1 again closes the path automatically. Arrows show the inferred 8-way grid steps. The completed virtual board opens automatically in Board Editor. Internal cutouts are not preserved. Fit compensation is added in step 6.

3 · Measure your beads

* IMPORTANT: measure these from your own physical pegboard/beads, don't guess. A wrong pitch is the single most common cause of a printed box that doesn't fit.

Calculate pitch from measurements

Measure your actual pegboard with a ruler/calipers instead of guessing Pitch above -- a mismatched pitch compounds into a multi-mm error across a whole board. Measure a vertical span AND a horizontal span (count the beads spanned by each); the two measured pitches are averaged into the final value, applied to Pitch once you click Calculate Pitch.

6 · Configure box

Fit adjustment is already built in: increase compensation slightly if the test fit is too tight, or decrease it if too loose. This changes pocket clearance rather than scaling the whole model.

7 · Generate & inspect test fit

Generate only the small test-fit object first. It uses the same pocket clearance as the main box.

Build an outline first.

8 · Generate and export

Each item generates only what it needs. Export becomes available after that item is generated; changing a setting clears the old items.

A clean front. Matching solid support.

The slim frame follows the art’s outline, reinforces the beadwork, and includes an optional top-center keyhole hanger cut into the back. Matching solid support helps bead art from breaking apart. The frame stays matte and unlit.
